"The timing should be taken out of the referee's hands," bemoaned (Sir Alex) Ferguson. "Those two stoppages took two minutes and 20 seconds, and then there were the substitutions on top of that. That is disappointing.  It is silly really. We are nearly in 2010. A change should be made." [from Skysports.com]

The irony will not be lost on anyone except a ManUre supporter lol

Villa recorded their first win at Old Trafford since 1983 with a fine, organized and resolute display, and a well-taken first half goal by Gabby Agbonlahor, nodding home an Ashley Young cross.  Dunne and Gabby were particularly outstanding but, once again, a top display by the whole team.

As Oscar (Villansworldwide member in Sydney) put it:

Brilliant! Up at 4.15am....cup of strong coffee.........dog not happy when Villa scored (nor wife or kids!).....great defending and could have nicked another. Good to see Fergie complaining about the amount of injury time allocated. Will dress the kids in Villa shirts today when we go Xmas shopping….bound to upset the MU shirts walking around Sydney!
Sunderland on Tuesday night.........another win would make us genuine contenders..........
Might have a beer now even though only 7am!

Team: Friedel; L. Young, Cuéllar, Dunne, Warnock (J.M. Collins 63); Downing (Reo-Coker 81), Petrov, Milner, A. Young; Agbonlahor, Heskey (Carew 74).
Substitutes not used: Guzan, Sidwell, Delph, Beye.
